Tibetan Salt comes from a lake in the Qinghai-Tibet province. Fed by the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, minerals flow in from the pure mountain springs of the Himalayas. Harvested by hand by a small number of farmers the salt is then taken on long and arduous journey from the mountain lake down to the villages.
It is one of the distinctive treasures on our Earth.
